Chiya leaves her home in the wilderness after she gets a letter leading her to Meirocho, and once there, she attracts attention for her unusual ways while meeting new friends.

Chiya tries to find information about her mother's whereabouts; Kon and Nono reminisce about their mothers.

The girls become indebted to Benten after Kon breaks a crystal ball and realize it will take a very long time to repay her; Chiya and Koume end up stuck with each other when Chiya's hair snags on one of Koume's buttons.

While waiting out a rainstorm, the girls fret about numerous bad omens, but Chiya's sunny attitude helps turn things around; the girls learn more about mole divination and Nono reflects on her status among her peers.

During the annual White Kimono Festival, intense alcohol fumes disorient Chiya and she wanders into the wilderness, where she crosses paths with a large creature.

The girls employ pendulum divination to help Nina find a boyfriend, but when Saku takes on a disguise to follow them, the girls mistake her for a potential soul mate; when a kitsune possesses Kon's body, Chiya must convince it to leave.
