After her aunt's solitary death, Narumi Yamaguchi starts looking for a husband. However, when her search proves unsuccessful, she begins to prepare for the end of her life by herself.

Narumi realizes her parents are aging and feels unprepared to care for them, so she plans to get them ready for it.

Yamaguchi Narumi enjoys the single life until the sudden, lonely passing of her aunt shakes her to her core; following the advice of her colleagues, Narumi decides to seek a good life in order to die well.
