Amanza leaves in the middle of his job interview; he goes to the hospital because of back pain; instead, he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. he wonders how he'll tell his friends and family and practices what to say.

On his first day of chemo, Amanza calls up his high school friends whom he hasn't seen in years; he asks them to accompany him to the hospital; they exchange memories from the past and arrive at the hospital, and Amanza goes in for his first session.

On his 27th birthday, Amanza goes back home for the first time in a month; he reminisces about his first encounter with Min Jung; his family and friends capture the moment on their phones as if it's his last birthday.

When Amanza opens his eyes, he's in the cancer ward and begins to come to grips that he really is a cancer patient; his brother, Dong Yeon, who left home two years ago, comes to visit; Amanza takes advantage of this opportunity.

Min Jung takes a day off work to see Amanza; she starts to wonder about how things will end for them; There's nothing she can do for her boyfriend, but she hopes that her well-meaning thoughts will somehow reach him and comfort him.

A patient beside Amanza screams in agony; Amanza is scared, knowing that this is what awaits him in the near future or maybe he's scared that that he'll die without having achieved anything significant in this world.
