When Dr. Anna Macy wakes up the night after her return to Kettering, another young woman is missing after being in the woods with her. 16 years after the disappearance of Gillian, Anna may be on the hook again.

As the search for Chloe rages on, Anna starts figuring out more about her quaint little hometown. Detective Dutch continues trying to cover up his dirty deeds, as Barb and Max Holloway worry in their own ways over their missing daughter.

After Chloe's body turns up, Max lets the police in on the fact he's received threatening letters. However, not all is as it seems. Max and Roy Macy still keep a secret worse than anyone else in town.

When Anna finds out more about the young boy and the strange marks on his skin, she starts to figure out more of the deviousness in Kettering. Meanwhile, Dt. Dutch starts to get suspicious of Roy Macy.

Anna finds evidence linked to Chloe up at Mother Sullivan's Ridge. When Wendy Macy turns up there too, Constable McFadden realizes the Macys know more than they've let on.
