In a house in Manchester divided into four flats, we are introduced to four interweaving stories about love, parenthood, loss and self-discovery. Gail bumps into an old friend who makes a startling observation about Gail's marriage.

Three weeks after the events of episode one, the neighbours try to carry on as normal, but life gets in the way. Each has a choice to make: will they stick to old ways, or will they take a step into the unknown?

David investigates Kelly's past; Hannah is drawn to Andy; Gail confronts Henry with her feelings; Belle's ex-husband comes back into the picture.

Episode 4
Henry grapples with the consequences of Gail's decision, Liam throws a tense dinner party, David and Saira start a new chapter, and Neil makes Belle an unexpected offer.

The neighbours remain trapped in situations of their own making. Can they escape?
