The wealthy Doctor Shuichi falls in love with Aya, a nursing helper; at the airport in Tokyo, where he flies to after proposing to Aya, he falls and hits his head very hard.

Aya heads to Tokyo, looking for Shuichi, who hasn't returned; she meets Shuichi's younger brother Takumi by chance; Aya learns that Shuichi is suffering from amnesia and starts working as a nursing attendant in the hospital.

Aya tries to encourage Shuichi, who is frustrated with his slow recovery; Shoko devotes herself to caring for Shuichi, and begins developing feelings for him.

Shuichi works as a hospital administrator with his memory still gone; Aya tries to help him in any way she can.

Shuichi regains part of his memory and pulls off a remarkable surgery; Takumi, who was out when he was supposed to be on the night shift, receives severe criticism.

Shoko tells Aya to back off, for Shuichi's sake; scheming a takeover of Eiseikai Hospital, Komori appoints Takumi to perform the surgery on Shuichi, hoping for failure.
