Kako is a young girl who spends her days looking up at the night sky during the Heian period. She has a fateful encounter with her older sister.
EPISODE 2
後の世に伝へさせまほしき光る君
Kako loses her sister and lives in Echizen with her father, who has been left behind. She socialises with her friends for comfort, but goes about her daily life unchanged.
EPISODE 3
メジャーデビューの戸を叩く人あり
After losing Nobutaka, Kako returns to Kyoto. In the midst of her unchanging daily life, she reads her story to her friends.
EPISODE 4
あな恐ろしや、女房たちのイジワル
Kako's departure is imminent. In the rear palace, where there is no escape, Kako becomes a ceremonial courtesan.
