A doctor treats his daughter's cardiac disease using a creation called the Almighty Cell, which gives his daughter, Ayaka, recurring nightmares that soon draw Shinichi, a part-man, part-beast, to her side as her dedicated protector.

Dinosaur-like humanoids attack Ayaka, but orphaned children help rescue her; as he races to find them, Shinichi puts his faith in the orphans as he contemplates his sour relationship with his father, who seeks to capture Shinichi and Ayaka.

Shinichi's father, Dr. Kuruma, intends to sacrifice Ayaka for the special DNA inside her body; Shinichi fights the dinosaur-humans to rescue her.

Tommy tells Shinichi and Ayaka about his heritage and his mission to protect them; the couple have trouble reconciling their spiritual views with the reality of their situation.

Shinichi allows himself to be captured so he can find Dr. Kuruma; a beast named Swallow Tail defects to Shinichi's side and helps him escape.

Defense Minister Semi-Maru turns on Rockwell after the doctor gives him a dose of the divine serum and he initiates a manhunt for Shinichi using the full power of the military; Dr. Kuruma gets one step closer as he obtains a sample of Maria's blood.
