After the Thrones

For "Game of Thrones" fans whose appetite for the medieval fantasy goes beyond simply watching it, HBO throws a weekly post-show party hosted by Andy Greenwald and Chris Ryan. "After the Thrones" offers a "lively, humorous and sophisticated look," according to the network, at the latest episode, explaining the ins and outs, exploring the complicated politics and history of "Thrones," and offering absurd -- and not-so-absurd -- theories about future episodes. TV critic/author Greenwald is a former senior writer at Bill Simmons' sports and pop-culture blog Grantland, where he worked alongside executive editor Ryan. While there they hosted the hit "Watch the Thrones" podcast.
