For three years after Baek San (Kim Young Chul) was arrested for being a member of the secret terrorist organization known as IRIS, he has been held at a top-security prison on a remote island. Detective Jung Yoo Gun (Jang Hyuk) is recruited to join the NSS and becomes the team leader of a special group known as the TF-A Team to handle issues of national security. Ji Soo Yeon (Lee Da Hae), Yoo Gun’s childhood friend, is an Olympic gold medalist sharp shooter who also joins the NSS as a sniper. They work with Choi Min (Oh Yun Soo), the newly appointed deputy director of the NSS; Seo Hyun Woo (Yoon Doo Joon), a top agent; and Yoon Si Hyuk (Lee Joon), the computer genius at NSS Command Center. When a sudden attack by IRIS agents at the remote prison results in the escape of Baek San, Yoo Gun and his team deploy an international plan to capture Baek San and bring down IRIS once and for all. But the mission becomes a personal one for Yoo Gun in ways he never expected. “IRIS 2” is a 2013 South Korean drama series directed by Pyo Min Soo. It is the sequel to the original “IRIS” (2009) and “Athena: Goddess of War” (2010).
