In Takeru's dreams, he hears a girl call out to him, saying she needs his strength to save the world. In the waking world, a new transfer student, yet also a familiar face, joins Takeru's class.

When Takeru comes to, he finds himself in what appears to be their school, but it's completely destroyed and overrun with greenery. After meeting with the others, they begin to investigate what has happened to them.

In the midst of a chaotic battle, Takeru must protect his friends. The group meets the village chief, Amaterasu, whom teaches them the nature of the world they find themselves in.
