Ginta Toramizu is an imaginative daydreamer in the 8th grade who dreams of someday going to a fairy-tale type land. One day, a gate appears in front of him that opens to a world he has dreamed about. It’s the start of the spectacular adventure!

Ginta has entered the World of MAR, where he meets a witch named Dorothy and learns about ARM, magical accessories with powers that correspond to the bearer’s magical power. She takes him to a cave where he discovers the ÄRM “Babbo”, the ÄRM with a will of its own that has the ability to speak.

On his journey, Ginta meets Jack and his mother, whose garden has been periodically terrorized by werewolf brothers, the “Rogelu Brothers”. Upon learning this, Ginta decides to take action against these vegetarian werewolves…

Ginta and Jack arrive at Pazu Town on their journey in search of the ÄRM that could send Ginta back to his world. Can they find the Dimension ÄRM that Ginta once used, in this town that’s reputed to have everything?

A mysterious boy named Alviss suddenly appears before Ginta and company. He claims to be the very person who summoned Ginta to the World of MÄR. What is his true identity? Who and what are the “Chess Pieces” he speaks of?

Ginta and the others enter the frozen castle where they face the “Chess Pieces” for the first time. How will Ginta handle Ian, the Rook class Chess Piece?! And, who is this girl named Snow who is trapped inside the ice?
