Man Hoo and Min Ho become the finalists in an architecture competition; Ji Sang is about to realize his lifelong dream of restoring Cheonbigung Palace with the competition's winner; Deuk Ye and Min Ho are tying the knot in the presence of Man Hoo.

Ma Ri comes up with a plan to start over with Man Hoo, but he is stubborn about who his heart wants; Min Ho is nowhere to be seen, and Deuk Ye's parents have grown significantly unwell; Guk Ja is now the lady of the house.

Deuk Ye is devastated by a series of losses over a short period; Man Hoo is asked to take on the design of the president's private home; Ma Ri gets pregnant and hopes it will be a boy that will give her another shot at her marriage with Man Hoo.

Deuk Ye gives birth to a baby, and she leaves her in front of an orphanage; another woman leaves her newborn baby in front of the orphanage, too; Guk Ja catches on to what happened to Deuk Ye, but she feigns ignorance and gives Deuk Ye a hard time.

Man Hoo rushes the construction of a new orphanage to impress the First Lady; Min Ho disagrees with his decision because he believes that rushing a building's construction can cause serious safety issues.

Min Ho's worry about rushing through the construction process and the safety of the orphanage building comes true; Hye Sang finds out who her birth parents are, but she is not happy to face the truth; Man Hoo runs into Deuk Ye on the site.
