Pararescue Jumper

As seven rescue operative trainees listen to a speech from their commander, Horikoshi, chief instructor Seiji Usami makes a dramatic entrance.

The recruits start training in a pool, which proves difficult even for former competitive swimmer Fujiki; during one session, she begins to panic.

As the team practices getting air from tanks placed at the bottom of the pool, Hasebe falls unconscious; seeing this, Shirakawa is overcome with fear.

Usami asks Mako not to tell Yuna the truth about the rescue from 12 years prior; an eager Yuna joins the students on their training in the mountains.

Usami grants the students a second attempt at their training exercise; struggling with a lack of confidence, Fujiki wanders into the woods alone at night and eventually goes missing.

Chief instructor Seiji Usami trains an elite team of rescue operatives to undergo daring missions in environments where others fear to go.
