Dr. Ko Yowai is a happy-go-lucky psychiatrist and Yuri Amamiya is his vibrant assistant nurse; together, they run a little clinic in Shinjuku; one day, they are visited by Aoi Yukimura, who reports struggling to catch her breath in crowded settings.

Dr. Yowai and Yuri become regulars at a ramen shop, where Gen Taniyama works as the manager; one day, out of the blue, Gen is unable to get out of bed or leave his house; his sister Kaede suggests going to Hidamari Clinic.

Fuka, an attractive young woman who works at a bar, struggles with controlling her violent temper and feels no remorse about cheating on her boyfriend; a friend recommends she visit Hidamari Clinic, but Yuri is not prepared for this new patient.
