Arrogant yet charismatic student Derrick Webb (James Marsden--X-Men films) stumbles upon the perfect subject for the assignment when he spies beautiful, chaste Naomi Preston (Kate Hudson--200 Cigarettes) locked in a drunken, passionate embrace with Beau Edson (Joshua Jackson--"Dawson's Creek"). With fellow university classmates Jones (Lena Headey--The Remains of the Day) and Travis (Norman Reedus--8MM), Derrick concocts an incendiary rumor that quickly rages out of control, leading to deadly consequences.
