Richard Steven Horvitz

Richard S. Horvitz began acting before his teens and is best known for his work as a voice artist on animated shows such as "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers." Horvitz got his start as a child acting on stage in plays like "Oliver!" and in TV commercials. He began his onscreen career with a part in the sitcom "Safe at Home." Other '80s projects include the teen-comedy film "Summer School" and the low-budget sci-fi film "Deadly Weapon." He began doing voice work, a lucrative sideline that gradually became a career. He was the voice of Alpha 5 on the long-running and enormously popular children's series "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers" and its numerous spin-off projects, and voiced a main character in the show "The Angry Beavers." He was the voice of the title character on the Emmy-winning "Invader ZIM" in the 2000s and voiced Rodney J. Squirrel in "Squirrel Boy." He is also frequently a voice actor for video games and on rare occasions appears on screen in live-action projects, as he did in the comedy "Fred & Vinnie."
