Sheridan Smith

Sheridan Smith has been acting in film and television since the late 1990s, with supporting roles in numerous television series including "The Royle Family," which began airing in '98 and is now considered among Britain's best-ever sitcoms. This was followed by much more comedy work: Throughout the 2000s, Smith played homely Janet Keogh in "Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps," and still found time for three seasons of "Grownups," also from writer Susan Nickson. Here she starred as Michelle, a Manchester-based nutritionist with poor eating habits. Smith kicked off the 2010s with considerably more film work, including "Hysteria," a star-studded romantic drama set during Victorian times.
