The Last Journey

An emotional and hilarious story with a life-affirming message, The Last Journey follows a father and son’s joyous road trip through the South of France. In an attempt to help his 80-year-old father Lars regain his zest for life, Swedish TV presenter/filmmaker Filip Hammar takes him on a surprise road trip, retracing the same journey their family made every summer during Filip’s childhood. Travelling with his best friend and fellow filmmaker/presenter Fredrik Wikingsson and driving the same orange Renault 4 the Hammar family used to own, Filip sets about recreating a series of events to relive the cherished memories from years gone by.
