"When Jung-do was 13 years old, his mother often beat him for bringing home very bad report cards. Eventually, Jung-do’s mother, who felt the education system of the established institution is no good for her son, pulled Jung-do out of junior high and homeschooled him, and she began to obsess over improving Jung-do’s grades through a tremendous amount of private tutoring.
