Min-ah is an artistic young girl living with her mother, Mi-suk. Burdened by a deformed hand and terminal illness, Min-ah spends much of her time with her mother. When Yeong-jae, a charismatic young photographer, moves into their building, he attempts to befriend Min-ah. Shy and reluctant at first, she is soon won over, and a romance develops. However, Min-ah's illness is ever-present, affecting her relationship with both her mother and Yeong-jae.
