도로시 포텐베리

Dorothy Fortenberry is a screenwriter, playwright, and essayist. As a television writer and producer, she has worked on “The 100” and “The Handmaid’s Tale” for which she received multiple Emmy nominations, the PGA Award, and two WGA Awards. Her plays have been produced across the country including “Partners” (Actors’ Theatre of Louisville, Humana Festival), “Species Native to California” (IAMA Theatre), and “The Lotus Paradox” (Warehouse Theatre). As an essayist, she has written about subjects both personal and political for publications including Commonweal, The Los Angeles Review of Books, and Real Simple. She was a recipient of the 2011 Helen Merrill Award for emerging playwrights and is the 2021 laureate of the George W. Hunt, S.J., Prize for Journalism, Arts & Letters for outstanding work in the category of fiction writer or dramatist. She currently has several television projects in development, and she promises not all of them are apocalyptic. She lives with her family in Burbank.
