Shôtarô Mamiya

Thanks to Buddha's (Jiro Sato) prophecy, Yoshihiko (Takayuki Yamada) and co. reach Ugas Village, but two of the sacred orbs get stolen as soon as they arrive. Turns out, Ugas Village is home to thieves. Even travelers avoid setting foot here. They meet the leader of the thieves, Kandata, and tell him they are looking for the orbs. Kandata himself had one! When he learns that it's used to defeat the Demon Lord, he willingly gives it to Yoshihiko. It seems like things are going their way for once...
