Musician Brian D'Addario's path toward success in the recording industry quite possibly began while he was still in early childhood. The son of a songwriter, Long Island-born D'Addario began learning guitar at age seven, often recording songs with his brother Michael on their father's 8-Track. He would eventually bring his talents to the stage, assuming the role of Gavroche in "Les Miserables" on Broadway in 2008 and later originating the role of Flounder in the Broadway adaptation of "The Little Mermaid." D'Addario would also explore film and TV acting, taking on small roles on "CSI: NY" (CBS, 2004-2013) and "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010) and appearing in short films like "The Sandman" (2010) and "Space Cadet" (2013). But D'Addario's first love was always music; he and his brother Michael-who had also explored acting-continued to experiment with many styles and sounds, from '90s grunge to '70s soft rock. Eventually, the two developed a unique sound heavily influenced by the psychedelic rock of the '60s, forming a band they called The Lemon Twigs. The group recorded an EP on the same 8-Track they'd used as boys, and signed to indie label 4AD in 2016. They soon released their debut album Go Hollywood, performing their first single, "These Words," on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" shortly before its release.
