An imposing redhead equally comfortable playing both glamorous and homey characters, Amy Price-Francis was born in the United Kingdom, but she emigrated to Canada as a child. A graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada, Price-Francis made her television debut on an episode of the children's TV series "The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo" in 1998. That same year, she joined the cast of a TV adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's novel "Little Men," in which she played Amy. In 2001 she took the role of Mel Porter on the sci-fi series "Tracker," reprising the part two years later for the spin-off movie, "Alien Tracker." She then moved to the show "Snakes and Ladders," followed by the starring role of Sarah Barnaby on the Canadian drama "Rumours." Moving to the United States, she landed her highest-profile role in 2009, as the villain Cara Bowden on the final season of the phenomenally popular "24." Around the same time, Price-Francis also starred opposite Benjamin Bratt in the Emmy-nominated drama "The Cleaner," playing the supportive wife of Bratt's addiction-recovery specialist.
