A hot summer and the 'Team Mayhem' trying to find ways to take over the city reads the 'Evil Encyclopedia' by 'King Brad'. The 'Team Mayhem' decides to steal all the electricity which has been set out in the 'Evil Encyclopedia'! With the electricity gone, big and small accidents happen bringing the city to a standstill, and at 'Tyler's' house with the AC down, sufferings abound.

In order to catch a rhinoceros beetle, Tyler and the Galaxy Detectives go to the mountains; in order to protect her younger brother Jay, Quinn enters the forest alone; Tyler finds an abandoned coal mine.

Although there was a cave-in the 'Team Mayhem' was somehow able to escape safely. The meteorite that they acquired by putting their lives on the line suddenly exploded in a halo of light turning into an octopus shaped mechanical being introducing itself as 'Galaxy Weapon 2'. It then proceeded to throw out various space weapons that didn't exist on Earth to the 'Team Mayhem'.
