Patrick Durham

One of the most successful independent horror film producers working today, Patrick Durham has tirelessly worked to get profitable films into theaters. He started his career with 2002's "Are You A Serial Killer," but it was 2005's "Hoboken Hollow" that really got him noticed. The film featured high-profile actors like Michael Madsen and Dennis Hopper, and started Durham's tradition of inserting himself in cameo roles in many of his movies. 2007's successful "Tooth & Nail" reunited him with Madsen for a story of a group of post-apocalyptic survivors struggling to fend off cannibals. That movie was chosen to feature in Stan Winston's "Screamfest," where it screened to an enthusiastic crowd. That success brought him to the attention of Lion's Gate, which made him a producer on "Cabin Fever 2," the sequel to Eli Roth's hit retro-style horror movie. Since then, Durham has knocked out several films a year with varying budgets. He is notable for his casting choices, often giving roles to loyal actors like Madsen, Vinnie Jones and Robert Carradine. In addition to horror, he has ventured into comedy with "Strike," a bowling flick starring Tara Reid. His 2011 action film "Cross," his first film as a director, combined some of his favorite actors with cult heroes like Danny Trejo and Jake Busey.
