Ron McLarty

The origin of Ron McLarty's acting career goes back to when he was just four years old. At the beginning of his acting career, McLarty was featured in dramas like "Bloodbrothers" (1978) starring Paul Sorvino, "Daniel" (1983) with Timothy Hutton and Mandy Patinkin and "The Flamingo Kid" (1984) with Matt Dillon and Richard Crenna. He also appeared in the TV movie "Johnny, We Hardly Knew Ye" (NBC, 1976-77). He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "Guiding Light" (CBS, 1951-2009). His film career continued throughout the eighties and the nineties in productions like the drama "Enormous Changes at the Last Minute" (1985) with Maria Tucci, the dramatic adaptation "Heartburn" (1986) with Meryl Streep and the comedy "The Feud" (1990) with Rene Auberjonois. He also appeared in "Two Bits" (1995). McLarty s final screen role was in the comedy "St. Vincent" (2014) with Bill Murray. After that film, McLarty retired due to a diagnosis of early-onset dementia. Ron McLarty died on February 8, 2020. He was 72.
