When two CIA agents are kidnapped by a ruthless Russian gang known as The Covenant, Syd is sent in to retrieve a package. In it she finds the head of one of the agents with a note demanding the release of Sark in exchange for the other agent.

Jack takes drastic steps to ensure that the NSC never finds out the truth about Syd's murder of a Russian diplomat, but his actions place a heavy strain on Vaughn's marriage, as Lauren gets closer to the truth about Syd. Meanwhile, Syd agrees to go on a mission with Sloane in order to thwart plans to change the operating system to a deadly weapon.
