A cabin burns down in the woods revealing two bodies – one of a modern-day witch and one from the days of the Salem Witch Trials – leading Booth and Brennan into the world of Wicca to find a killer. Meanwhile, when Hodgins’ reckless driving gets him and Angela arrested and thrown in jail, Sweets and intern Clark Edison (guest star Eugene Byrn) step into unfamiliar territory to help out the team.

Mulder struggles to return his life to normal as Scully begins to suspect that there are other reasons behind his strange behaviour.

The team is called to Louisville to help local authorities determine what caused a disturbed man to have a psychotic breakdown at a pharmacy and murder several customers.

Jennifer goes to Melinda's store to sell some belongings that came from her deceased parent's house. Melinda then helps Jennifer with her father who died when she was only a toddler. Someone takes photos of Melinda and they show something suspicious. Melinda finds that she has a hidden connection to Grandview while digging into her family's past.
