Sitcom about Jim, a loving husband, father and brother-in-law. When Jim tries to solve Ruby's separation anxiety, he discovers that he doesn't have the willpower to leave his teary six-year-old at school.

Elliot is attracted to one of her patients, but he doesn't seem to notice. In a last ditch attempt, she chases after him when he gets discharged from the hospital and orders him to ask her out. Elsewhere, Turk and JD disagree over the treatment of one of JD's patients: Mr Hoffner has ulcerative colitis and JD wants him to continue a medical course of treatment with drugs while Turk wants to treat him with surgery.

During the final moments of his last day, JD begins to wonder about the future after he leaves Sacred Heart, if his relationship with Elliot will survive, or if he will remain close to his best friend Turk, and even if Dr Cox will miss him when he is gone.

Jules and Grayson clash when they attempt to join their finances, while Travis must force Laurie to make some grown-up decisions about Krazy Kakes.

As Travis continues on a downward spiral from his breakup with Kirsten, Jules decides it's time to give him some tough love. Elsewhere, Andy advises Bobby and Laurie on their new business with the help of Lou Diamond Phillip.
