Shakereh Namazie, the granddaughter of Sir Mirza Ismail suddenly goes missing from her residence in Bengaluru. Her daughter Sabah Khaleeli is desperate for any information that she can find about her missing mother. Her repeated visits to her mother's house lead her to Swami Shradhhananda, who tells her that her mother is travelling abroad. Nothing is out of place and there is no reason to worry. But Sabah refuses to believe that her independent mother would suddenly disappear without a trace.

Three years pass and no one has heard from Shakereh Namazie. Meanwhile, her daughter Sabah Khaleeli goes to the police to file a missing person complaint. Matters come to a head when Head Constable Mahadeva gets an important clue and ACP Azmathullah is reminded of an age-old tradition practiced in his native village Badari. What these clues unravel sends shockwaves through the country and makes the most hardened crime investigators' and journalists' skin crawl.
