A boy grows up behind the safe walls of an apocalyptic Japan full of monsters. Tokyo flourishes as a paradise, while outside the walls of hell dangers lurk. However, a small group searches for heaven.

While children play peacefully behind the walls of a nursery, Maru and Kiruko search for Heaven.

Two Confessions
Maru and Kiruko visit a strange tavern and become very sleepy. When they wake up, they see something monstrous, faintly illuminated by the moonlight. At the orphanage, Tokio becomes more and more suspicious of the world around him.

Kiriko and Haruki
Five years ago, in Asakusa, Robin, Haruki and their car racing sister Kiriko live happily in an orphanage. Many people gather to watch an electric car race, but something horrifying interrupts the event.

Kuku
Tokio is shown strange-looking children and realises he understands very little of the world around him. On a boat and with no way out, Maru and Kiruko suffer a terrible attack.
EPISODE 5
Day of Fate
Maru and Kiruko return to Tokyo and find a district full of tents. When Maru goes to an arcade, Kiruko goes alone to look for information and hears a frightening rumour. In the garden, Tarao's condition deteriorates.

Maru and Kiruko are on the hunt for the Immortal Order. On the way, they stay at a hotel run by a girl named Totori. Dumping their bags and searching for safe drinking water, they stumble upon a badly injured man.
