The Muslims of China's Xinjiang Uyghur region have become targets for Xi Jinping's cultural homogenisation project, with children separated from parents to be sent to re-education boarding schools, whilst adults are interned in vast prison networks across the region. Unprecedented levels of surveillance across the state mean that nowhere is hidden from the prying eyes of the CCP as it sets about erasing an ancient cultural heritage, out of sight of the rest of the world.
