Emily "Eve" Best was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. In 2001, she appeared in the four-hour miniseries "The Infinite Worlds of H. G. Wells," which aired on the Hallmark Channel. She made her professional debut as Beatrice in "Much Ado About Nothing" at the Southwark Playhouse. In 2007, she starred in a production of "As You Like It" at the Royal Shakespeare Company's Swan Theatre. In 2005, she played the title role in Henrik Ibsen's "Hedda Gabler" at the Almeida Theatre in London. In 2006, she appeared in the British drama series "Prime Suspect: The Final Act," starring Helen Mirren. In 2003, she performed in "Mourning Becomes Electra" at the Royal National Theatre. In 2007, she reprised the role of Josie for the Broadway production of "A Moon for the Misbegotten," for which she earned a Tony Award nomination. She also was featured in the miniseries "The Infinite Worlds of H.G. Wells" (2000-01), "Shackleton" (2001-02) and "Lie with Me" (2004-05). She also appeared in "Prime Suspect 7: The Final Act" (2006-07). She continued to work steadily in television throughout the early 2000s and the 2010s, appearing on "Up All Night" (NBC, 2011-13). She also landed a role in the miniseries "The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Series 5" (2006-07). As her entertainment career progressed, she appeared in the Colin Firth box office smash dramatic biopic "The King's Speech" (2010). She also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Up All Night" (NBC, 2011-13). She also was featured in the TV movie "The Challenger Disaster" (Discovery Channel, 2013-14). She also appeared in the Mikael Persbrandt drama "En du elsker" (2014). "Eve" Best most recently acted on "Life In Squares" (BBC 2, 2014-15).
