In the season premiere, guest star JOHN SCHNEIDER reprises his role as Jonathan Kent. Picking up where the finale left off, Lois (series star ERICA DURANCE) finds Clark's lifeless body and removes the blue kryptonite – enabling him to heal himself. However, Lois sneaks away before Clark fully awakens in order to protect his secret. Meanwhile, Chloe (series star ALLISON MACK) is desperate to find Oliver (series star JUSTIN HARTLEY), so she turns to an unlikely source for answers. Jonathan returns to the Kent Farm with a message for Clark, and Tess (series star CASSIDY FREEMAN) awakens in a LuthorCorp lab.

A sympathetic doctor releases a half-human, half-machine subject named Victor (LEE THOMPSON YOUNG), who was being held captive and experimented on by LuthorCorp. While making his escape, Victor is struck by Lana's car. After watching Victor walk away without a scratch, Lana calls Clark to investigate. Clark befriends Victor and promises to help him find his girlfriend, but Lex traps Victor and takes him back to LuthorCorp.
