Sabrina Ferilli

Sabrina Ferilli

Italian actress Sabrina Ferilli was born into a political family: her father was a high-ranking member of Rome's regional Communist Party while she was growing up. In her early 20s, the dark-eyed, chestnut-haired beauty began working in Italian television, including a small role in the popular miniseries "Hit Man." She made her film debut in the 1987 thriller "Sweets From a Stranger," but her breakthrough came in 1991 with her star-making role in the period romantic comedy "Americano rosso," subsequently working steadily in films and television for more than two decades. In 2004, she began working with writer-director Neri Parenti on a near-annual series of popular holiday films.
