Lorenza Izzo

Between modeling in Chile and acting in American television series and motion pictures, Lorenza Izzo seemed to have an inborn inclination for the spotlight. From the early years of her screen career, the horror genre beckoned Izzo, leading her to professional unions with sinister mavens Nicolás López and Eli Roth. Roles in projects like "Aftershock" (2012), "Hemlock Grove" (Netflix 2013-),"The Green Inferno" (2015) and "Knock Knock" (2015) cemented her fate as a bona fide fixture of cinema's darkest corners. Lorenza Francesca Izzo Parsons was born in Santiago, Chile to model Rosita Parsons and her husband Claudio Izzo. Izzo herself took up modeling during her tenure at University of the Andes, before moving to New York to pursue acting. After enrolling at the Lee Strasburg Theatre and Film Institute, Izzo made her screen debut in the Chilean comedy film "Que pena tu boda" (2011). The film's director, Nicolás López, hired Izzo for his next picture: the horror film "Aftershock" (2012), which starred and was co-written by genre kingpin Eli Roth. Izzo continued to work with López, appearing in the sequel film "Que pena tu familia" (2012), as well as with Roth, whom she married in 2014 and divorced in 2018. Izzo appeared in Roth's horror television series "Hemlock Grove" (Netflix 2013-), as well as his thriller films "The Green Inferno" (2015) and "Knock Knock" (2015). The latter picture marked a reunion of writers Roth and López. Izzo next appeared in the horror anthology "Holidays" (2016) before costarring in the mystery drama "Feed the Beast" (AMC 2016) opposite David Schwimmer. Izzo also appeared in "The House with a Clock in Its Walls" (2018), a fantasy directed by her now-ex husband Eli Roth.
