Sadie Calvano

Born in Los Angeles, Sadie Calvano got her start in musical theatre at a young age. She began performing at age 7, and wound up performing all over the country in a variety of productions ranging from "High School Musical" in 2009 to "A Chicago Christmas Carol" in 2010. During this time, she also honed her skill at Stagedoor Manor in New York, an intensive performing arts camp that features alumni such as Natalie Portman and Jon Cryer. It took her a little bit of time to move into on-screen roles, finally breaking in at the age of 13. She made her first appearances guesting on the absurdist Chris Elliot comedy "Eagleheart" (Adult Swim 2011-14) and an episode of procedural drama "NCIS" (CBS 2003-) in 2011. Shortly after, she made her film debut in the Clint Eastwood-directed biopic "J. Edgar" (2011) where she portrayed the niece of Leonardo DiCaprio's J. Edgar Hoover. She returned to television in a series of TV pilots and shows, ranging from the failed pilot "Family Album" (Fox 2011) to a guest spot on the Disney show "Crash and Bernstein" (Disney XD 2012-). Her longest stint during this time was a multi-episode run on the Melissa Joan Hart-starring cable comedy "Melissa & Joey" (ABC Family 2010-15). Around the time of her 3-episode arc on that show, Calvano was cast as Violet in the Chuck Lorre comedy "Mom" (CBS 2013-), starring alongside Anna Faris and Allison Janney as Faris' troubled teenage daughter.
