Big Love

As a polygamist tries to satisfy the emotional, romantic and financial needs of his three wives and seven children in Salt Lake City, Bill opens his second hardware store, but there are problems. Meanwhile, his estranged brother Joey calls with shocking news about their father, who lives with their mother at Juniper Creek.

While attempting to compensate for rising demands at home, Bill searches for a source of protection from Roman's henchmen. Margene continues to pressure him into purchasing a car for her.

Despite being admonished by Bill for her spendthrift ways, Nicki tries to throw an extravagant birthday party for her son Wayne. Meanwhile, Bill installs a `perimeter of defence' around his homes, and Barb tries to keep the family's secret hidden from their neighbours.

Bill's been having some unsettling dreams, and Don's suggestion that they may be a revelation doesn't convince him. Bill soon learns what he must do about Roman though. Elsewhere, Barb gets a long-term teaching job, and Nicki fends off her creditors.

Bill and Barb's behaviour arouses Nicki's suspicions. Meanwhile, Bill and Don get dirt on Roman after placing an anonymous call to Attorney General's `Polygamy Czar'.

Bill heads to Juniper Creek to attend the funeral of his father Frank's first wife Roberta, and to make Roman a settlement proposal he may or may not be able to refuse. Meanwhile, Barb bails Nicki out of a jam at home, and Ben ponders whether he has what it takes to follow in his father's footsteps.
