Academy Award-winner Clint Eastwood ("Unforgiven," "Million Dollar Baby") directs and stars as Marine Corps gunnery sergeant Tom Highway, a highly decorated but maverick combat veteran whose acts of bravery are as legendary as his barroom brawls. Eastwood takes on a platoon of total foul-ups and sets out to turn them into a razor-sharp fighting unit on his last tour of duty, and at the same time attempts to rekindle a romance with his ex-wife, Academy Award-winner Marsha Mason ("Goodbye Girl," "Chapter Two"). The New York Times calls this "Impressive! Clint Eastwood's performance is one of his richest, funny and laid back" and USA Today says its "pure entertainment!...The movie is fun!" Co-starring Mario Van Peebles ("Posse") and Eileen Heckart ("The Five Mrs. Buchanans").
