A Newport Christmas
In the enchanting world of 1905 Newport, Ella Stewart is a spirited woman with a heart for philanthropy and all things Christmas. Ella wants to use her allowance and the money intended for her dowry to start a charity. When her father tells her she is to marry a man coming to town for the Christmas Ball, Ella takes her beloved sailboat out to sea to clear her head and ends up wishing on a Christmas Comet that catapults her to modern-day Newport. Here she encounters Nick, a charming boat captain who works as a historian at the Grafton Estate – the house where Ella lives in 1905. While Nick initially thinks Ella is a festive cosplayer, he is later convinced that she’s the real Ella Stewart. They know she has to return to 1905 to continue her charitable legacy, but as they attempt to get Ella back, Nick wonders how he can be a part of that life-especially since she’s to be married to someone else named Rex. Come to find out that Rex, originally from the early 1900s, went out after Ella in a search and rescue and ended up in the early 2000s, where he stayed. After a tearful goodbye, Nick surprises Ella at the Christmas Ball. He takes on Rex’s identity and joins her in the past for good.
