Motherland

In the Motherland, state-run children’s centers raise all citizens, ensuring a fair upbringing and freeing parents from child-rearing burdens. This seemingly utopian system turns into a nightmare for a Motherland enforcer (Miriam Silverman) who uncovers the true identity of a young woman (Emily Arancio) in her care. Defying the system she once upheld, she risks everything to save her- that is, if the Motherland doesn’t stop her first. Also starring Nestor Carbonell and Holland Taylor.
