The Story of Three Loves

Three passengers aboard an ocean liner reminisce about past loves. In “The Jealous Lover,” an acclaimed ballet choreographer, Charles Coudray (James Mason), remembers his tragic relationship with a talented young ballerina, Paula Woodward (Moira Shearer). In “Mademoiselle,” a young boy named Thomas Clayton Cambell Jr. (Ricky Nelson) is magically transformed into a grown-up (played by Farley Granger) who then sparks a romance with his governess (Leslie Caron). In “Equilibrium,” a trapeze artist, Pierre Narval (Kirk Douglas), asks a suicidal woman, Nina Burkhardt (Pier Angel), to join his death-defying act.
