Speaking In Code

Delving deep into the world of electronic dance music, filmmaker Amy Grill lets the cameras run while colorful figures on the scene – including artists, DJs, journalists, promoters and producers – do most of the talking. The film focuses on several storylines, as each character is pushed and pulled by an obsession with music. These storylines are intertwined with the director’s EDM-obsessed husband David Day who, as the film is being made discovers the cost of his obsession. Featuring: Modeselektor, Wighnomy Brothers, Monolake, Ellen Allien, Tobias Thomas, Wolfgang Voigt, Michael Mayer, Miss Kitten, Sasha Funke, Philip Sherburne & David Day.
