Pillars of the Sky

In 1868 Oregon, Sgt. Emmett Bell leads a Native American police force and counts missionary Dr. Joseph Holden as a trusted ally. When Col. Stedlow orders troops to build a road through treaty-protected reservation land, the powerful chief Kamiakin rallies the tribes toward war. Bell fights to broker peace, but tensions explode, and a woman from his past is caught dangerously in the middle.
