A Woman of Affairs

Diana Merrick (Greta Garbo) and Neville Holderness (John Gilbert) have loved each other since childhood, but Neville’s father, Sir Morton Holderness (Hobart Bosworth) disapproves of the Merrick family and forbids Neville from marrying Diana. Neville is sent by his father to Egypt for two years for the family business, abandoning Diana who eventually marries David Furness (Johnny Mack Brown), a close friend of her brother Jeffry (Douglas Fairbanks Jr). While on their honeymoon a truth about David is revealed and tragedy follows.
