Meryl Streep narrates this incredibly moving new documentary that explores the survivors of fistula, a condition which affects mostly young pregnant women in countries with poor health care. In Sierra Leone and Malawi, fistula has destroyed innumerable lives, but now, a dedicated former nurse from Scotland is leading the charge to erect clinics to treat these women and give them the tools to return to their communities as successful entrepreneurs. This is a bracing, optimistic and joyous film.
