Carlos Ribeiro

Carlos Ribeiro started skating in his hometown in Brazil when he was eight and by the time he was 12, he knew he wanted to be a pro skater. His parents believed in him so much that when he was 16, they let him drop out of school and go to Barcelona to try his luck. Three years later, he came to the U.S. and met SLS Pro Paul Rodriguez—who began flowing him boards. When Rodriguez launched Prim- itive Skateboarding in 2014, Ribeiro was one of two skaters chosen to be on the team. The following year he turned Pro after dropping two heavy video parts – one for Primitive and one for LRG’s 1947 video. In 2016 he qualified into SLS with a 2nd place finish at Tampa Pro and went on to finish 7th in Munich and 5th in New Jersey. After a strong rookie year, Carlos continued his great skating in 2017. He had his highest finish ever, taking 3rd in Munich, sending him to his first ever World Championship, where he took 5th. Carlos recently dropped an insane part in Primitive’s “Never” promo, and we can’t wait to see what he has for the arena this year.
