Sophia Lillis

Sophia Lillis was a child actress who rose to prominence when she was cast in the film version of Stephen King's horror classic "It" (2017). Born and raised in New York City, Lillis made her onscreen debut in the short film "The Lipstick Stain" (2013). The next year, she appeared onstage as an Elemental in William Shakespeare's romantic comedy "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (2014), which was filmed for theaters by director Julie Taymor. After appearing in the Kitty Genovese murder drama "37" (2016), and appearing in two more short films, "The Garden" (2016) and "Tiny Mammals" (2016), Lillis got her big break when she was cast in the highly anticipated big screen remake of Stephen King's coming of age horror tale "It" (2017) as Beverly Marsh, the meek girl from the poor side of town with an abusive father who becomes the only female member of a group of seven friends (known as The Losers' Club) that team up to defeat a terrifying child-murdering immortal clown who lives in the sewers beneath their sleepy Maine town.
